RENTAL CONTRACT

When you rent a boat, it is compulsory to be in possession of a boat rental contract  in order to comply with coast guard rules.

You should therefore allow for 30 minutes of boat rental formalities before you can embark.

SAFETY AT SEA

Sailing on the sea is different from travelling on the roads. Please respect these basic safetyrules. Do not leave children unsupervised and make sure they wear a life jacket at all times while on board.

All our rented boats are equipped with the mandatory equipment listed below, which is checked by our staff every time the boat is returned. It is your responsibility to inspect this equipment before casting off.

Be aware that there is a speed limit of 20 knots in the Gulf of Saint Tropez and 5 knots within 300 metres of the shoreline.  All our customers are kindly requested to respect these speed limits in order to avoid their liability being engaged.

You will find the following equipment on board:

  • A life jacket per person on board
  • A rescue light (floating device)
  • An onboard or mobile bilge pump (except on self-bailing boats)
  • A fire prevention device (extinguisher)
  • A towing device
  • A mooring line (anchor + chain and/or rope)
  • A national flag
  • Three automatic hand-held red flares
  • A signal mirror
  • A sound signal device
  • A magnetic compass
  • A coastal handbook
  • A nautical chart

Before sailing out to sea, it is highly recommended to  consult the shipping forecast for your area. With our partner, Windguru, we are pleased to offer you the 72-hour shipping forecast for the Gulf of Saint Tropez.
